Fall Protection

Course Overview

Every year in Canada there are about 26,000 lost-time injuries resulting from falls from heights, and each year over one hundred workers lose their lives in falls. According to a recent study, over 90% of falls from any height happen to workers who are not protected. It was also noted in that same study that 33% of all fatalities attributed to falling are from heights of less than six metres. This health and safety training session has been designed to teach participants what they need to know to protect themselves and others from falling.

Under current Federal and Provincial Regulations, all workers who are working at a height greater than 3 metres from the ground must be protected from falling. This health and safety training session is hands-on and interactive through group discussions, case studies and one-on-one instruction each participant will be able to put into practice what they have learned in this health and safety training session.
