Overhead cranes

Course Overview

This training course is designed for individuals with little or no prior experience operating an overhead crane, as well as serving as a refresher for experienced crane operators. Participants are required to successfully complete and pass both the theoretical and practical components to receive their Record of Training (ROT). 


Duration: 2.5 to 3 hours on-site training and instruction.

  1. Shift of liability to the Crane Operator.
  2. Safety precautions.
  3. Avoiding accidents.
  4. Proper rigging.
  5. Operating and handling techniques.
  6. Protecting the equipment and stock.
