CONTROLLING THE RISK OF TRANSMISSION

To ensure that controls are in place to mitigate the risk of transmission/exposure, NTS is following applicable recommendations, including screening all staff and clients. The training room has been set up and measured so that participants and staff are socially distanced at a minimum 6 ft./ 2m. Hand sanitizer is also available to all staff and clients/visitors.

VISITORS AND CLIENTS

All visitors and clients must:

  1. Practice social distancing of at least 6 ft./ 2m within our facility,

TRAINING STAFF

Our trainers are required to sanitize all surfaces prior to a training session. NTS will provide employees with proper disinfecting supplies to ensure proper cleaning methods take place. Once the session is completed all surfaces will be thoroughly wiped again in the same manner.

It is the responsibility of the trainer to ensure that a 6ft/2m distance is met within the training room with all participants. It is important that a 6ft/2m distance is always kept when entering and exiting the training room.

At no point will the training room exceed 10 participants during the pandemic, unless otherwise mandated by the Ontario Government or other governing bodies.

EMPLOYEES GOING TO A CLIENT’S FACILITY

When our training staff go to a client’s facility, they must follow the client’s pandemic procedures (including any applicable screening assessments) as well as the following:

  1. Ensure their hands are clean by washing with soap and hot water for at least 20 sec.
  2. Use hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
  3. Practice social distancing always – 6 ft./2 m.

  5. DO NOT shake hands with clients.
  6. Have sanitizing wipes available or cleaner/cleaning cloths to wipe down your area as well as doorknobs, taps and toilet levers, etc.

CONTACT TRACING

If NTS is notified by any clients/participants/staff that someone may be a positive case – NTS will notify all possible close contacts of this and advise them of the situation. The attendance form for each class is a tool that will be used to gather this information of possible close contacts.

Following the recommendations on any/all screening tools used by NTS or guidelines set out by the governing health unit and/or the Ontario Government, any close contacts will be advised if it is recommended to get testing or seek guidance from the local public health unit.
